Prof. Dr. Markus Schmid is Professor at the Faculty of Life Sciences at Albstadt-Sigmaringen University and Director of the Sustainable Packaging Institute (SPI). His research focuses on the development of sustainable packaging concepts and innovative approaches to environmentally responsible packaging solutions. Together with his interdisciplinary team, Prof. Schmid works on circular and resource-efficient materials and packaging systems for the food, pharmaceutical, and medical technology industries.
